BIOGRAPHY
Piotr Skubisz (born 1978, Poland) is an independent photographer with a passion for portrait and body photography. His work explores themes of self-discovery and cultural identity. Drawing inspiration from his studies at The Film School in Łódź and Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw, where he developed an interest in cultural anthropology, his images blend aesthetics with reflection.
For Piotr, photography is a continuous journey of experiencing and discovering, a path to understanding otherness and simultaneously redefining himself.
His artistic philosophy is rooted in the constant exploration of the human being and the body – the primary means through which we communicate and perceive the world. Inspired by literature and philosophical concepts, he strives to uncover the mystery of the Other, finding unexpected connections and new perspectives.
Piotr collaborates closely with individuals to create authentic, expressive portraits and captivating fine art photography. His practice explores the nuances of human emotion and cultural identity, always striving to capture the unique essence of each portrayed subject.
Currently based in Warsaw, Poland, but enjoys traveling and is always open to new challenges and commissions, including international assignments, eager to explore new horizons.
His critically acclaimed work has also been featured in notable publications, including the Sony World Photography Awards book 2025, Monochrome Awards Book 2024, and All About Photo AAP Magazine #46: Women.
